AREAS AFFECTED : VERNON; BEAUREGARD; ALLEN; NORTHERN JASPER; NORTHERN NEWTON

* WHAT...For the Cold Weather Advisory, very cold wind chills as low 
as 16 expected. For the Freeze Watch, hard freeze with 
temperatures as low as 22 to 25 degrees possible for several hours. 
 
* WHERE...In Louisiana, Allen, Beauregard, and Vernon Parishes. In 
Texas, Northern Jasper and Northern Newton Counties. 
 
* WHEN...For the Cold Weather Advisory, from 6 PM Sunday to 10 AM 
CST Monday. For the Freeze Watch, from Sunday evening through 
Monday morning. 
 
* IMPACTS...Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin 
is exposed to these temperatures. Frost and freeze conditions 
could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage 
unprotected outdoor plumbing.
